We have known Fritz since we moved to Lewistown in 1977. Our kids went to school with the Wys  children.  We  got more familiar with the family when Fritz married my best friend Jan. They were the cutest couple ever.  Their beautiful family was always so welcoming to us which is Fritz's legacy since he never knew a stranger and always gave you a handshake or hug. We are saddened of his passing but know that he is having a conversation with the Lord  since talking was his pastime. You will be missed.

You know, I don’t remember NOT knowing the Wys family.  One of them was always around my Mom’s Breckenridge family.  Fritz was the fun one, but also ornerier than snot!  Full of laughter and a joy to be around, Fritz was always quick to lend a helping hand or a word of encouragement.  He was one of those special guys you were proud to call a friend!  And, Fritz was full of LOVE for his dear wife, Jan, his kids, grandkids, and siblings, as well as his Church and the Lewistown community.  Fritz left footprints on many people’s hearts!  Deepest sympathy to Jan and the Wys family.  Let the loving memories he left behind sustain you through this time of grief and heartbreak.  Behold, Fritz has now made his home in Heaven and is gazing upon the face of God!  Our deep sympathy and love, Steve & Carol Birch

To the family
On hearing of Fritz’s passing, I am reminded of a movie in which a man who had lived a life full of kindness, care and honor was facing the end of his life. The man playing the lead role in this movie asked his co-star as he was facing his mortality if he should be frightened about his impending death. His co-star in character replied. “Not a man like you”.
Fritz resembled this movie character in every positive way, but the movie of his life was real. His infectious smile, his kindness and desire to help others without thought affected all who ever met him. Saying Fritz was a good man, just does not do justice to the man that he was, but as human beings our ability to communicate is based predominately on words and actions. Fritz’s actions, words, character, kindness and love for people and his family were without refute as he takes his rightful place in God’s Kingdom. May God continue to bless Jan and the rest of his family.
