John was a dear, sweet man. I worked with him in the Senior Center at the YMCA. He loved to pick
black walnuts and share them with us. Also, he would make us some  homemade berry pies.
I was so saddened to hear of what happened to him.  My deepest condolences go to the family. I pray for God to comfort you in this time of loss.

John became a friend of mine through the fact that he delivered a meal to me 5 days a week from Meals on Wheels based at the Y MCA in Macomb Illinois. For three years, Monday through Friday he would deliver lunch to me and talk to me for a few minutes. His Kind manner and his smile always made my day. I miss him a lot. His friendship and warm smile will always stay with me. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I am very proud to the been able to have called John my friend.
