The Murphy family moved across the street from the Nelson family when I was in high school. We remained good friends throughout all these years.  She was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend.
I spoke to her 3 weeks ago and she was sick but assured me she was on the mend. Ryan was better and she would be soon.
Cuba, Illinois is my home. Although I have been gone a very long time Carol was the first person I would call when I came back. She would come down the back alley and pick me up for church.
May God bless you all in this time of grief.
She was a great lady. I will miss her always.
