Jill, I am heartbroken. There are no words to tell you how sorry I am. Dave was such an amazing person. His smile was contagious, and he always made my day a little brighter. I always got so excited to see him, and his hugs were the best. I want you to know just much how much you both mean to me, you two are such amazing people and you have the biggest hearts. It was truly an honor to care for and know Dave, I will miss him more than you know! My heart is with you and your family. I wish I could be there for the service, but know my thoughts will be with you that day.

Jill and family, we are so very sorry to hear of Dave's passing.  Your will be in our prayers as you go through this difficult time.  Dave was one of the nicest guys we have ever known.  He was an inspiration and encouragement during the difficult job of protecting children and working with families at DCFS. He had a great testimony for the Lord in his life and will be missed until we meet again.

Mrs. Lawver, my sincere heartfelt condolences on your loss. Dave and I started together with DCFS in the Rock Island field office. A nicer man I’ve not met in my life. He was a one of a kind investigator, but more than that, he was a one of a kind man. He was simply the best and I will always miss him. RIP my friend.

Jill and Family- I was so sorry to hear of Dave's passing and send up prayers of comfort for all of you during this very difficult time.  It was my privilege to count him as a friend and also as a colleague at DCFS.  He was such a kind man who cared for others, loved his girls, and praised the Lord.  My husband, who passed almost 9 years ago shared Dave's love of music and so enjoyed the times that the two of them saw Eric Clapton in concert.  May your memories of him give you strength.  He will be missed by many.

I am so sorry about Dave's passing. I just found out a few minutes ago when wondering how he was doing. We're traveling to Beardstown and thought maybe about stopping by since I hadn't seen Dave since my late husband passed away.  My husband Ken and Dave worked together a lot. Ken was a detective with the Kewanee Police Department. Ken and Dave became very good friends from working together. Ken has been gone 15 years.  He's waiting for all his family and friends,  now Dave and him can hang out together again. My dearest sympathies to Dave's family.
