Lewistown- Margaret Ann Coleman, 87, of Lewistown, passed away at 12:06 AM Tuesday March 6, 2018 at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
She was born January 18, 1931 at Canton, the daughter of Roger and Frances (Gillam) Kerr. She married Roy Lewis Coleman on October 5, 1951 at Lewistown. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1995. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia McCreery. Survivors include three children, David (Becky) Coleman of Lewistown, Karen (Robert) Leighty of The Villages, FL, and Kathy (Dave) Hedrick of Lewistown, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two brothers, Ed (Shirley Wicevich) Hoffman of Canton, and Richard (Janet) Hoffman of Lewistown.
Margaret worked as a legal secretary many years in Lewistown. She also served as Lewistown Township Clerk and also as the Lewistown Township Supervisor. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewistown. She enjoyed china painting, calligraphy, playing bridge, and quilting.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Pastor Penny Frame officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lewistown or the Lewistown Food Pantry.
